This is the boat you just sold?

He is quite within his rights to come and inspect the boat first before handing over his money, and for items such as this it is ludicrous to expect people to deposit such a large amount into a strangers bank account.

To be honest I would never sell something like a boat, or any large item that would need to be picked up by a buyer, and expect them to pay cash upfront for something they have never seen. So many people get caught out, coming to look at something to find faults with it, or other issues.

I'm afraid you are in the wrong here.

I don't blame the buyer for not wanting to fork out over $7,000 for something like this.

He has no buyer protection at all that way.
