what happens if you have an interested buyer you have done an offer for and time is running out

what happens if you have an interested buyer you have done an offer for and time is running out, is it rude to contact them to ask them whether they want to committ to buy and if so should i only trust that committment to buy when the funds have come thru.

I have bent over backwards for this potential buyer and with 4 hours to go and I have to go out tomorrow and can start to send his purchase if he wants it asap tomorrow but not heard from a committment to buy

I have offered him free postage as he had special postage needs and gave him quite a good discount on the items he might be considering buying

So is it rude to contact to get a committment to buy before the time on the purchase expires as i would like to get some sleep tonight but want to do the best by the buyer and get it sorted and possibly start to get it mailed tomorrow for him as i will be away from the computer after tomorrow afternoon and that means a delay of days for him

And if i do ask him to committ to buy should i only trust that committment when the money comes thru??????
