I listed some items today, thanks to the 150 freebies for non store sellers, and decided to list some for 10 days, instead of the usual 7. Whenever I use the free listings, after the listing has been made, but before submitting it, down the bottom under the relist for free check box, it normally says: Listing fees - insertion fee - free. When I listed some for the 10 days, it said about the insertion fee, but also said '10 day listing - free'.
Do you normally have to pay an extra fee for a 10 day listing if you're not using free listings? I've not listed a 10 day auction before, but after someone mentioned the other day about not letting their listings finish on a Friday night, I pushed them past Friday (although I did still list some for the 7 days. I also wanted to see if it made any difference listing for 10 instead of 7).

I think you have to pay extra for a 10 day listing in the US. There has never been any extra to pay for a 10 day listing on the Au site as far as I can remember however I never listed auctions for longer than 7 days back in the old days.

Never had to pay in Aus, but as PJ points out it is charged on other ebay sites, so its in the listing template. I always used to use 10 days when I did auctions. Its just a 7 day listing with 3 days free preview.. So never seen why some people dislike them

Most of the listings I added yesterday for 7 days have had lookers and quite a few have watchers. 1 even has a bid. The 10 day listings that I did are all still saying 0 lookers! Of course it's only early days, so it will be interesting to see how things pan out over the next week.
