10 items per month?

I'm only allowed to sell 10 items per month? Is eBay serious!?!?!1/!?!? Is there a way to increase this?

Btw, it's 10 items per month... I thought it was 10 listings per month. So I am only allowed to sell 10 of the same bracelet under one listing in an entire month?! This is absurd

10 items per month?

If I recall I think you need to be linked by the same owner. Since you do not own it then it probably wont allow. If somehow it is allowed, then you need to becareful. If you screw up your account (ie: pernament suspensions), his account is gone too and vice versa.

So personally, I wouldn't bother with messing around with linking yourself to your cousin since you would be putting your cousin and yourself at risk.

Just attach a credit card to automatically increase your limit to 100 or what ever and then call up every month.

I don't understand what you mean by attach your credit card. I've already attached my paypal to my account, and my paypal has my credit card attached to it. Is there something else I need to do?

Sadly, I am brand new. Would penalties apply if I link my cousin's account to mine? He's a long-term ebay seller.

No, that wouldn't work. It would have to be an account in your name, with you as the person who did the selling.

Ebay would be able to see it isn't one of your accounts and there would be penalties for trying to mislead them.

You just have to work with what you  got... 10 sales etc and build up to more by being a good & reliable seller.

Unfortunately in the past there have been some  new sellers who were scammers.. opened a new account, sold TV's, mobile phones etc  thatthey didn't even have, then they disappear with buyers money. eBay is trying to prevent that happening.

Until you establish yourself as a reliable seller you will be restricted like this on new selling accounts.

You can attach a credit card to your ebay account. This normally gives you an automatic instant increase to 100.

After that you need to call them monthly (every 30-days) and plead your case for an increase.

We all had to start out this way. Unless you have had the selling account from 10-years ago when these restrictions did not exist.

We have just had one of our selling accounts that started out the same way lifted to 500,000 items per month without even having to ask them. For us that is essentially unlimited. It just takes some time. Took us 3-years to reach this level.

Has it really been 10 years since they introduced the restrictions? I'm so glad I had an account, which I sold an item or two on, from when I was a teenager! I didn't have to deal with restrictions until I opened a new account this year. I thought they were a recent thing!

I'm unsure exactly when they introduced selling limits.

But this posting ID I've had since July 2004 and its never had any kind of selling limits.

The oldest other ID we have is now 3-years old and it started out with the monthly limit of 10.

We have built it up from there by calling in monthly to have the limit increased. They never once refused an increase.

Then about a month back suddenly we get an email from them out of the blue that says your selling limts have been increased to 500,000.

For us that's esentially unlimited.

I'd say give ebay a call and discuss this.

Here is the number we have always used to ask for selling limit increases.

That should have automatically increased your limit to 100 items and between a $5,000 and $7,500 sales limit.

Perhaps there's a delay before it becomes functional, but I think it might be time to give eBay a ring and ask them.

My mates new account started with a limit of 10. He linked it to his existing account, linked it to the same PayPal account (with both credit card and bank account) and his limit was only increased to 30.
