Hi guys, I took up the 100 free listings yet when I list an item it still shows $1.50 listing fee. Is this right?

The previous time I was offered 100 free listings, there was an eBay glitch, and 9 listings came  out of my monthly 40.  Conversation with eBay support, finally got my 100 up and running, and even though I have now used my 40 (which became 49), I was charged listing fees for 9 items (the ones that should have come out of the 100).  eBay have advised that when the listings ends/or sells, they will credit the insertion fees for those 9.  eBay has agreed that I rang on Xdate and that is the arrangement.

It might be an idea fuzfizzy50 to contact eBay about the fee.

It does not cancel the 40 freebies.

I have had that same issue, but eBay says I have gone over my monthly limit even if I haven't used up the freebies.

What's the point of offering the freebies if we can't use them?

The 100 freebies don't show up until you list the first one.

A very strange system!

The $1.50 listing fee should get crossed out and replaced with $0.00 once you list the item.

That's correct, but you must still stay within your approved "selling limit"

But you can't have more than 100 total listings and sales at any one time. As they drop off, you can list more.

Sorry davewil, but you are incorrect.  You can have your 100 free listings (when offered) PLUS the standard 40 for the month.  So any one ID offered 100 free can potentially have 140 currently listed items.  Once listings do drop off, you can only list for free again within the month if eBay re-offers the free listing promotion.

And I have to say the 100 free listings is the best thing that eBay has done.  I'm selling more this way - so I get rid of a heck of a lot, and eBay is making more out of me than they have previously in any given month.  A win win for me, and a win win for eBay.
