AP letters

I have just noticed that eBay has finally, after many years, included a letter option in postage types.

I have always used 'standard delivery' but now there is specifically 'letter'.

Looks like the long-outdated parcel + tracking options were deleted at the same time. Good thing, since it's only been a decade or so since Australia Post started offering parcel tracking as standard rather than an optional extra.

So no need to send registered letters that had to be signed for,now there is tracking for letters,fantastic!

Nothing has changed except that eBay are finally listing current AP options. Tracked letters have been available for quite a while. They even recently introduced a C4 size.

What about padded envelopes? can they go as tracked?

I post alot of them and my AP always charges me registered post.

No.

Until they decide to supply tracking stickers for all envelopes, only the envelopes they supply (for $1.10 and $5.50 post plus extra for the tracking) can be used.

As most of our large envelopes are $2.20 or $3.30, including padded envelopes, we have no use for this new option.

Edit - you have to buy their tracked envelope to use this service.  They don't have an option to buy a tracking sticker (unlike registered post, which sells both prepaid envelopes and stickers).
