How do you sell something no body is allowed to look at before they commit to buy. Under ebays current policy you commit to buy something you are interested in as that's the only way to get their phone number and their address then you get to look at it and if you decide to walk away the seller then has two options (that's if you  are still alive) they can do a non payment and wait 7 days to put the ad back on or do a buyer has changed his mind claim to get your fees back after 10 days this applys to all non postage items. You are not allowed to inspect any item bring sold on ebay because if the seller gives out the phone number or his address he will have that ad or himself banned for what ever time ebay feels you need to conform and that's after paying for a ebay shop and an $8 insertion fee who would buy a car truck caravan trailer without inspecting it first, seems a crazy way to do business unless the next ebay policy will be postage ads only site stay tuned.

As noted in the various other threads on this, there's nothing you can do about it. Ebay are so paranoid at the thought of people sellling direct that they've brought in a knee-jerk policy without thinking about the consequences to sellers.

Not just cars, trucks, caravans, etc that are affected, either - ANY item that requires pick-up - furniture, whitegoods, etc.

Short-sighted, ill-informed, and just plain dumb.

But, hey - eBay now don't miss out on the occasional $2.00 Final Value Fee that an off-eBay transaction would see them lose. Never mind the Insertion Fees they're now losing on vehicle listings as a result.

Penny-wise, pound-foolish...
