I sold an item a coupe of few weeks ago the buyer was a seller also the sale went well but after 10 days I emailed the buyer to ask if there had been any problems as it had not been picked up from PO ,I had paid for a signature and buyer was fine she said she would go to PO but that she had lots of parcels to sort through then I got the message all was fine and F/B left .But she then asked me if she could buy a copy of the catalogue from me , I had never sold a catalogue I just put the item number in the listings of these pottery pieces from the catalogue I would have to check if that was legal eg copyright .Anyway it is not so did not print any off .she is buying these pieces to resell fine that doess not worry me but in the following message she said it was gift .
Now I have the problem she brought another item off me and within 5 days she had told me it did not arrive ,I asked he to check PO again and through parcels as it was only in envelope mentioing that she had to search for first item also .But I also said there were no problems in replacing and if it did not arrive by Friday 5 days I would send a replacement .
Now the problem is and I really do feel this is over the catalogue I am going to get a neg it will be my first .will ebay allow a neg after this message she has sent me this is it .
I have still not received this item. I checked through my emails to see what problem you were referring to. The pottery was purchased on behalf of someone else, so I was going to wait for them to open it. The only problem was in your mind as it was you that instigated the email. As soon as I got home I checked my emails. It had not even been 20 minutes since I had picked it up so it had not yet been opened. Your paranoia and harassment forced me to drop everything and open the parcel so you would leave me alone so I could continue working. These are separate transactions and have nothing to do with each other. Don't insult my intelligence by telling me to check my parcels and PO again. It is not my fault this item has no tracking. Any astute seller knows not to lay blame with the customer, any seller that does is an imbecile. I expect to receive the seeds ASAP. It should only take 3-4 business days to get here.
I have never recieved a messge such as this and fear a neg is about to happen any answers but from this messge it seems it is about to happen do I just have to wear it .

As you suspected they may become troublesome you should probably have blocked them from buying anything else from you as soon as you refused to send the catalogue.
I would have registered the letter so she could not claim non delivery as well.
Nothing much you can do now.
At no time did the seller threaten to leave neg feedback if you did not do something so there would be no grounds for removal.

I did not expect trouble so had no reason to block .
Also did not register the second item it is for seeds I offer free post and replacement if they do not grow how much fairer could I be .
I think asking to give it another 5 days was fair there was never any question that I would not replace if they did not arrive .
I just think her reaction was totally rude .
I do not believe they didnt arrive .

I have had moments of irritation with sellers over the years messaging me to advise me that parcels are waiting for collection at my PO.
Most of all when I have in fact collected the parcel, and my PO has not scanned it as delivered, which happens very frequently.
Whilst I do realise those sellers that have this approach are only trying to be helpful, I must be honest and indicate that I would prefer that they mind their own beeswax as I am perfectly capable of looking up tracking if I am waiting for something to arrive and sorting out the collection of my own parcels, without assistance or "reminders" from sellers, it just strikes me as a bit "parental" and sometimes "insecure" and can get up some peoples noses IYKWIM.
lovemyford, I think your buyer sounds like a cranky meanie, but am posting my own view as a "grump", so you might appreciate that not everyone wants or appreciates communciation regarding the progress of their parcel, and it can steer the transaction(s) in a way that it might not have gone otherwise.

What you need to do is try and diffuse the situation - the best way to do that is acknowledge the buyer's complaint, and - if applicable - clarify your intentions so that they might understand your message was not meant to harass, annoy or demand response, but provide information as a courtesy. (I'm presuming that's why you sent them messages, i.e. to inform rather than request or demand a response from them; if it was the latter then I can understand their frustration).
You have offered to send a replacement for the (supposed) missing items and you can't really do much more than that in regards to the second purchase (I say supposed, as it's not exactly uncommon for a standard letter to take a week or more to arrive, and personally I feel they're being a bit unreasonable with the last two lines of the message (especially considering they sell also, and should be well aware you can only post ASAP, not guarantee delivery time), but all you can do is try to highlight delivery time is in the hands of AP.
