I had a request yesterday and used the reply with offer feature for the first time, but my reply doesn't appear in my Sent messages folder and I can't find any mention of it on my My eBay page either. Does the system record it somewhere? I saw a note after I sent the message that the buyer has x amount of hours to accept the offer, I would have expected it to show as a notification the way buyer offers do.

Hi springy. When you receive a question from a potential buyer about an item there are now two reply buttons, the regular REPLY one, and a new one REPLY WITH OFFER. This allows you to offer the buyer a special deal, valid for 48 hours (unless sold to someone else in the meantime). It's a good idea, especially if you have items with multiples available, the buyer might say, "how much if I buy five" for example, and you can reply with a price per item for a stipulated quantity. Saves having to mess around with discounts on invoicing (which you can't do when it is a free post item) and the buyer just has to accept the offer to purchase.
I think it is meant to be available on any item, the button certainly came up on the message, and I don't use make an offer on that ID.
It appears the one I did Friday night didn't work though, my buyer never received it, so I must have missed a step or something.

Not sure if this is relevant penny, but I put in an offer last week on an item that had "make an offer" on the listing, but received no email on the acceptance by the seller, and only realised that they'd done so when I went into my purchase list to look at a different item I'd bought.
