Hi Just trying to find out whether my listing template is allowed to contain the shop's physical address?

Same here motherbear. My account is deliberately being targeting by Ebay every week over non existent issues.

I do not believe that eBay is targeting anybody. They only act if somebody is reporting you.

Not true, nova - random sweeps are conducted by the Listing Practises department, and when what they consider is too many policy violations I believe they put a red flag next to your account, and regularly check it. I really don't believe anyone would sit down and report well over 100 listings. I had 80+ removed under their duplicate listing policy, and it wasn't until I spoke to a Supervisor who actually listened to what I was saying, that a flag was put on my account.:-)

Just quoting eBay: it is against "listing practices" and reportable under "Avoiding eBay Fees" if "The listing has contact information such as an email address, phone number, or domain name in the title, subtitle, images, or item location".

None of those exclusions are the description, though, and you are able to put phone numbers and email addresses in the description.

The listings of mine they removed under their Direct Sales policy had none of those things mentioned below. Unfortunately it would seem it all boils down to which rep you get to deal with, and their interpretation of the policy. Not one rep could tell me exactly why my listings were removed; all they did say was how to fix it:^O

Just out of curiosity, were you ever provided with a link to the so-called 'Direct Sales Policy'?
I ask because I have searched for it rather extensively and found no such thing. (At least, nothing called Direct Sales policy, and although I presume it's the same as / similar to the rules about selling off eBay http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/rfe-spam-non-ebay-sale.html , I'm "surprised" that eBay are quoting policies from something that by all appearances isn't available to sellers so that they can inform themselves of all the intricacies of said policy...;\ )

This is part of the email they sent in relation to the offending listings"
"Here's to learn more about our policy:
Direct Sales
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/rfe-spam-non-ebay-sale.html
Fee Circumvention
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/listing-circumventing.html"
I found nothing in either link that says my listings were in breach of any darn policy:-D

Thanks ๐ Pretty much what I thought, especially the last sentence.
As I'm able to custom-make items I have, I've put on quite a number of listings for people to contact me for a quote - I may have to scrutinise my wording, just in case. ๐ฎ

Nah, I wouldn't worry too much. Someone at ebay hates me, and no, I'm not paranoid, so they regularly check my listings for any possible breaches, actual or in the case of the Direct Sales listings, imaginary:^O
