Aus Post click and send satchels and eBay labels

Seems the rules change every second month. I went to order more click and send bags and for some reason my search didn't return eBay satchels. So I ordered the newly available Click and Send satchels assuming they were the new replacement for the original eBay satchels, considering that Aus Post decided to remove eBay labels as an option (functionality now moved into the eBay site).

Turns out the eBay satchels were just hiding. Odd thing is they come in different pack sizes. So you can order 50 click and send satchel bags but not fofr eBay satchels.

So, I'm wanting to know if anyone has used the Click and Send satchels with eBay labels? They are essentially the same bag with different printing on the outside and have the same weight restrictions. The printed labels are near identical except for an extra eBay logo down the bottom.

I emailed Aust Post sometime ago saying that their listing seems to be all squashed over on the righthand side and I couldn't read it

And their reply was, no it was fine, it must be my browser

It comes up squashed to one side when you use Firefox,(it displays normal on Google Chrome and IE).

It looks ok in Safari on the iPad. eBay should really add a popup at the end of submitting a listing to remind sellers to check how their listings look in different browsers and on mobile devices.

The 500g and 3kg satchels are the same price aren't they? Why not buy the eBay satchels to use with the eBay postage labels and the C&S satchels to use with C&S for non-eBay sales and for the 5kg satchel.

It was a stuff up by me. I searched for ebay satchels, but the satchels didn't show up in the results so I ordered what I saw.

Now I have a bunch of items waiting I ship and the incorrect bags on their way.

I don't have any buyers outside of ebay, and it's getting somewhat urgent so I'm hoping I can use the same bags.

I can't see that it would be a problem to use the C&S bags, but if you've only just ordered them they take a few days to arrive. If the items are less than 500g it is currently cheaper to send by entering the weight and dimensions even if you use a satchel as your own packaging. eBay is offering a 10% rebate off the $7.20 postage, capped at 100 parcels a month.

The bag is purely for advertising Ebay. It is the label you pay for to use with a bag of that size and weight limits. C & S satchels are "generic" so that the Ebay advertising is not used on items that are not Ebay origin. In short  C & S are aiming to go mainstream not just Ebay.

Ebay bags are temporarily allowed on C & S, buit will stop as Ebay are no longer paying  C & S for advertising space.

C&S has always been 'mainstream', then they added integration with eBay and then introduced the flat-rate satchels.
