Just wanting to know if other sellers are having problems with Australia Post taking longer to deliver items.
I send large letters. On Monday at lunch time, I sent an Express Post letter from Northern NSW to Victoria. It should have arrived for the customer by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. The item was delivered today, Friday.
Also, the last 5 weeks, I have had 6 customers contact me to say they hadn't received their items yet .... 4 days after it should have been delivered, thye recieve it.
Does anyone know what is going on, as I have never had this happen before. There is nothing on the Australia Post website.
Have they changed to delivering letters 3 days a week and not told anyone.
I am concerned about the extra sales near Christmas as well if this keeps happening.
Thanks 🙂

Hi, I am having the same problems as well. I have had a few things lately that have taken 4 days to get there and it has only been a few suburbs away from me. Very frustrating.

Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking I may be the only one with the problem. I asked at our local PO and they don't know why it is happening. They said they have heard something about Australia Post being Patented.... whatever that means. Even they don't know what it means in relation to Aussie Post.
It is very frustrating for both buyers and sellers.
Cheers

Likewise, but for me it mainly started mid last week
I also had an Express Large Letter posted on a Friday to arrive by the following Tuesday (allowed extra day, plus the weekend because it was not in Capital City) for a birthday and it didn't arrive until Thursday - not good enough. In this case I was very lucky as customer didn't give me a neg, understood I posted same day he ordered and paid and I did tell him I couldn't guarantee delivery before he paid for Express, it was up to Aust. Post, I could only do my bit, but some buyers aren't so understanding and it is totally unfair when we cop a neg for it.

All mail in general is taking longer since Aus Post closed some of their sorting/distribution centres.
There's a notice on the Aus Post site about Express mail from Sydney being delayed due to the airport closure earlier this week.

I am finding express post does not necessarily mean express.
I post domestically & internationally express only and both are taking longer, an extra day at least domestically and upto 4 days internationally.
I am also having trouble with tracking to the UK.
I also had an item I purchased that was posted with tracking, marked as delivered but I DID NOT receive it. Someone got the item but it sure wasnt me. I am out $135 and paypal wont do a thing about it.
So right now my impression of AP is less than favourable.

Thanks all for your input.
That is just aweful about someone else signing for your item.
I have just been to the PO again to post some things and they know of nothing that would have delayed the Express post letter to Victoria and can't give me an explanation as to why it was late being delivered. I thought of the wild weather as well down there, but the other letters that arrived 4 days late were to QLD.
There was a customer there from the Gold Coast who heard my conversation and commented. She said it now takes 6 business days for her letters to get to Melbourne whereas before, she said it took 4 days. She also said that in some parts of the Gold Coast, the mail delivery has been cut down to 3 times a week for letters. She said she has heard that it is coming to other states as well. Apparantly though, you will be able to pay extra to have your letter delivered any day of the week .... more ways to make money for them and also Ebay, if sellers need to pass this on to customers. Just seems so unfair.
Cheers 🙂

Yes yes yes, i was going to start a thread on this, but i was to crankie to bother.
I've had 6 in transit items missing, can't be accounted for, Aus post say it's still my item until they deliver it so there refering my customers back to me, what a cop out.
Now, so far i've sent over $200.00 in replacement items, may never get the origianls back, so i've written that lot off.
How do i send an invoice to Ebay, simply because they take 10% cut of my money that means they are a part owner and will have to antie up some coin.
