Australia Post closed till 5th of Jan!

Didn't know that the Australia Post will be closed from the 1st of Jan to the 5th of Jan. I thought at least it would be open on saturday. Guess our DSR's will take a hit..

The only PO in my area that will not be open on Friday and Saturday morning is the AP shop at Rockdale.  Every other PO or LPO is Business as Usual.

I'm sure they still empty the boxes....I'm in S.A. and only not emptied on Saturdays...^^^^ the above, just states that they will not deliver. I will be filling the boxes this weekend and will let you know if I don't hear a 'clunk' 🙂

WHen they say weekend deliveries what does that actually mean? From the above post express items on lodged wednesday would not be delivered until monday. So what is the saturday deliveries? I would assume they basically shut down and just do local deliveries.

If LPO's open on Friday, the mail collected won't be sent that day.

Maybe AP is doing an extra day mail delivery on Sat 3, like they did a few of those on Sat. in early December to clear backlogs of holiday mail.
