Hello!
I've sold 100's of things on eBay and always had 100% feedback.
Recently someone bought something and then repeatedly asked for a discount on another item I was selling. Despite my polite responses confirming that I was not accepting offers on the other item, the person persisted in asking and then begging for a discount.
Finally, I wrote to them to advise that I do not appreciate being harassed for discounts on other items and advised them that I would cancel their purchase and refund the amount to them. The feedback this person has left on my account is in retaliation and calls me an imbecile and clown and nothing about the actual situation.
I've requested the feedback be removed by eBay and also reported the buyer, but eBay sent an automated response to state it doesn't violate their policies, which I find unbelievable.
Is there anything else I can do (aside from leaving feedback of my own to the buyer).

Why would you leave them positive feedback? (that is the only feedback you can leave)
Have you tried asking for a supervisor when you go to eBay Help bot?
The feedback *should* violate policy due to the name calling (done in emoji or not)
Don't leave it up to the automated AI/bot to get it removed

It is always better to ask the boards first before leaving feedback. Once you have left feedback the odds of getting a good result are less. However, I agree that you should have had support from ebay - I would try again, ask to speak to a supervisor if necessary and ask them to read the various emails from the buyer - maybe you will have better luck.

The feedback does violate eBay policy.
Not sure why you didn't just report the feedback - without your response.
Perhaps your response did you no good.

As does the feedback left by the seller Dom, if the buyer reports that the seller could be in trouble with eBay.

OP
You went ahead and left the buyer positive feedback anyway
Exactly zero use in yelling beware of this person
Nobody else reading it has a clue who you are talking about
And the buyer in question will now no doubt report you for it
eBay will ding you, remove the comment and the 'buyer' be left with the green tick

That's what I said. 😉

Maybe it's removed now? I can't see it.

Their negative feedback seems to have being removed, but the POSITIVE feedback you left for them, besides breaking Ebay rules, is just disgusting in itself.
