Buyer said goods where faulty over a month after purchase while I was isolated from Ebay

So I purchased a Graphics Card and found I did not need it. it sat in its box for a few months before I flipped it for a loss. Fine whatever it was a bit of money.  I was moving overseas a month later so i needed to rid of it. My laptop's PSU had died and my PC was disasembled sitting on a pallet waiting for shipment (Which it still is 20 days later, Another disputer I have to sort) Anyway so I did not have internet access up untill a few days ago when I landed back in New Zealand. Being as it had been well over a month since the sale, (First item i have ever sold on ebay by the way) I assumed all was well and didnt expect the -$382.05 AUD diduction from my PayPal account. Thats a lot of money for a student with no job or income. There is no way I can afford to pay back for the good that was Fully Operational when it was shipped and well packaged too. I have not recieved the good back and am out of pocket one a high end Graphics Card the Value of which it sold for.

 

Where do i stand. The good I know shipped fully operational. The seller has not returned it and I can no longer recieve the good for 2 months as I am on a family holiday in the comming weeks. 

 

I have tried going to the resolution center but It gives me no options. Tells me to go through Pay Pal but again I see nothing. The good was Checked before shipping so I know it was working when it left my hands.

 

I am pulling my hair out as I really do not know what to do here. Things are tight as it is.

Sorry but I doubt there is anything you can do now as the dispute has been settled in the buyers favour. Did you not have access to an internet cafe, library etc for all that time to check your emails and stuff?

 

When the dispute was opened you would have had 10 days (I think) to respond and you would have got the card back when the buyer was refunded but as you did not respond what else do you think Paypal could have done.

The buyer had my number as I said I would not have internet access during the period of time but he elected to make a claim rather than contact me directly. I would happely refund him the money if I recieved the good back. He is failing to respond to messages (He is an active buyer and sell) I just do not know what to do as the item was used to pay for my move back in with my family in New Zealand and I have no way for paying for the refund.

 

PayPal says because I did not reply through Ebay, they can not do a thing. And again I would be fine with the the refund if I had the product returned. This is a product that can be refurbished by ASUS if it is broken. The product was working when sold and unless the courier damaged it there should be no reason for it to be broken.
