Hi there,
I recently sold an antique bed that was listed on eBay however was sold privately to the buyer as she did not want to wait until end of auction to purchase.
She is now complaning that the bed was not as described and that I lied to her, even though I was very straight forward about everything from the beginning.
She is saying she is going to put a formal complaint to eBay about it. Is she able to do this when the sale was actually not through eBay at all?
Thanks!

if what you say is true her complaint wont get anywhere. ebay has no control over 'off ebay' sales.

If it was pick up then they would not be able to complain to ebay even if it had been an ebay purchase.
The only thing they could report you for was selling off ebay when the item was listed on the site and it would be impossible for them to prove that to ebay.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?
