Can you put a U Tube link in listing??

I want to sell something where there is a great U Tube and was wondering is putting a link in the description is allowed. Dont know if it actually works but was thinking of trying if allowed. Any knowledge on this Please would be appreciated

yes you can if it is just for demonstration or further item details. You cannot if it has facilities for buyer to purchase from there or is sending buyers to another site to purchase.

eBay policy is that you actually have to embed the video rather than link to it (so people can watch it and stay onsite rather than go to YouTube), and while I know lots of people share YT videos all the time, when it's being used for commercial purposes, you should also either  be the copyright holder of the video, or get permission to use it from the copyright holder.
