Not sure if everyone reads the updates in the Seller Centre so here's a link:
During the week commencing 9 September 2013, eBay will be making some improvements to the category structure on eBay.com.au.
The category changes are being made so that eBay.com.au's category structure aligns with other international eBay sites, making it easier for buyers and sellers to trade on eBay regardless of where they are located.

I just noticed the typo in the heading. Make that Category changes!

It'd be great if this will also mean the variation format is being explanded to some of the other (promised) categories, especially crafts (which seems to be getting a bit of a revamp).

I'm waiting for the category number only changes to books to be automatic. As promised. But I'm fairly sure I'll have to bulk edit the 250 odd I have in TL.

I listed some books this afternoon and the first selling page has changed. No longer all those drop down boxes to put hardcover/paperback nor selecting what type of book it is. If its a first edition, etc.
Threw me for a moment there, the whole middle of the normal listing page has gone.

Suggested item specifics in TL seems to have gone AWOL as well.
I can only assume this is to conform with the mega dropshippers' wishes to not actually have to expend any time or energy in doing listings.
