Courier post cost

Just  got me curious...I brought  a item from Darwin for $3.82 inc post. It was in mailbox today 3 days later and looking at it it came by Startrack   .How do sellers do that it must be more expensive than Aus Post , had to be impressed

I agree,  Darwin to Melbourne in 3 days is impressive in anybody's language.
