DSR's are a bit biased, aren't they?

I saw a seller last night

25 DSR stars recorded - all 4.5's and above.

However their postage prices were

$8.45 for a 500g flat rate satchel

and $14 and $17 for a 3kg one!

They sell fishing stuff.

I've decided to come to the conclusion that boys score very differently to girls and are probably more easy going than girls are when they shop.

Biased? No, I don't think so.

A prepaid 500g satchel is $8.25 and a 3kg satchel is $13.40 so the seller is only charging a few cents for any packaging they're using. The $17 charge may incl Signature on Delivery. I wouldn't mark them down on shipping costs.

Completely agree!! I was charging $10 flat for express post (satchels are $10.55) and I received 2 low rating DSR's. I worked out who they were by process of elimination. Both expected a gold nugget to fall out of their parcel. There are some people that you just can't please.

Have prices gone up again sports?

I thought a 500g satchel was $6.95 or $7.15 with C&S

those were the prices when the feedback was given, anyway.

Prepaid satchel prices are higher than C&S. A lot of eBay sellers still use the prepaids.

I don't think it is all to do with the price but what the buyer gets for that price. Something shoved in a satchel with no care, inner packaging or compliments card/slip is probably going to rate a lower star level than something that looks as if it has been packaged well wit extreme care if they cost the same.

typo in my OP - the 4.5 should read 4.9 and above for DSR stars...

I wrap everything in clingwrap and bubblewrap.

Doesn't stop people complaining about postage costs. I have still to see if they dinged my stars.

I agree it is not just postage it is packing as well. I charge £2 for packing this includes bubble wrap, new box, compliment card, petrol to Post office, inflated airpack (if needed) and my time.

What I don't understand is I was marked down on Postage time, I post the morning after payment is made, can it be done any faster?
