If an item is pick up only and the buyer decides to pay via Paypal (even though you asked for cash on pick up - this has happened to me a couple of times)

Is the buyer covered under the Ebay Money Back Guarantee?

After reading below, as well as both of the relevant policies, I believe the answer to your question is no.

Exclusions

• Vehicles, Real Estate, Websites & Business for Sale, Classified Ads and services, Tickets, Digital Goods and Intangibles are not covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee. Read the eBay Money Back Guarantee policy.

• If you paid with a payment method other than PayPal, Paymate or via a credit card through checkout or as a PayPal Guest you won’t be covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee. PayPal Buyer Protection may be available for PayPal Guest checkout transactions.

• If you have already opened a dispute with PayPal, you won’t be able to open a request or case with eBay.

apparently not

and there is no Paypal Buyer / Seller protection on pickups

however........

if the 'buyers' bank decide to do a chargeback because the buyer paid with a credit card thru paypal.... weeks or months down the line the bank can claim the money back from YOU>
