What are people's thoughts regarding the buyer protection policy? Have you had a bad experience? I am currently still in dispute with eBay due to them giving a buyer a full refund without any notification or opportunity to respond to the claims being made by the buyer! Through the refund process eBay have actually committed a federal offense but their excuse is that their internal guidelines state that they can ask for items to be destroyed so basically their internal guidelines override federal law. I have been absolutely disgusted with eBay conduct in this particular matter and would be interested to find out if others had also had problems.
The fact that they are extremely hard to email is frustrating in itself but when you call them you speak to a different person everytime which is so unhelpful. Is anyone else experiencing difficulties?

The ebay buyers protection policy notoriously favours buyers over sellers but the seller is always made aware of the dispute and allowed time to present their side of the story.
Why were the items destroyed? If they were proved to be fakes then that is correct...ebay can have them destroyed as it is illegal to sell them or even have them in your possession in Australia.
Emailing ebay is a waste of time. Ring them and ask to speak to a Supervisor if you are getting the run around from normal cutomer service reps.
