I've got a couple of websites where I sell things through PayPal and last week customers began complaining to me that when paying by card (not PayPal funds), PayPal was forcing them to create an account as they check out.
It caused a few irate customers during the stressful Xmas period and lost me a bit of business. I got onto PayPal about it and they finally got back to me today saying it was a global problem in their system and they have now fixed it.
In case others were wondering what was going on, it is apparently fixed now.
