Hello
Just out of interest, regarding the listings needing to be in the same category..
Does any one know if this means a first level or lower level category..
For example, 1000 items under clothing shoes accessories category.. or as limiting as clothing> womens> tops> blouses etc.
I tried to call ebay to ask, but the waiting time was 30 minutes
If anyone knows, please reply
Have a great night all

That could be the problem dave - my policy compliance is very low as I still have 3 violations - one occured after an item had been sold and paid for and it's still on the record as waiting to be posted because it won't accept my click on sent - explain that one:^O

It is not clear from the terms and conditions of the promotion, only that top level categories are referred to when they mention what qualifies for the discount. Without confirmation from eBay, I guess the only way to know for sure is to list something in one category that qualifies, and see if insertion fees are charged for a different sub-category. (I would assume it applies to the top level category, so that you can list a variety of items in women's clothing, but it never pays to assume with eBay :^O).
I did just spot this in the T&C's, too: No responsibility is accepted for failure to provide the discount. :8}

got the same email and trying to list free items as per the specs but ebay is still wanting to charge the usual auction fees. Spent 2 days preparing for this. Not happy

Im presuming it shows as the listing fee, when you are preparing the auction, but have you actually listed one to see if you get charged?
promotion only started today, SYDNEY TIME. maybe you were a few hours ahead of yourself?
from memory last time there was a similar promotion it showed the 'actual' listing fee, but came out at 0.00 on my invoice.

I have listed 5 items today 2 new items , i list over 900 products , but they still charged me 20 cent listing fee , another ebay lot BS
are you also aware that in this fee of 20cents the ebay seller promotes other stores who sell similar items world wide
once the buyer commits to buy he or she gets bombarded on there screen other sellers with similar items , do you wonder why some customers never pay for there item and ask for a cancellation , your money and product which they find , then is used as a tool to redirect to another seller TASK ABOUT A RIP OFF!
they take us all for fools
