Free post but buyer wants to pick up

I've just changed all postage to free, but now I have a buyer who wants to pick up. I bet you that they turn around and want a discount on their price, as I have just saved $10. Unfortunately, I haven't stated in my ad that there is no pick up. Does anybody have a good response to this? What do you do?

you can do one of 2 things,

firstly say, sure, pick up is availalbe on xxy date between 1-2hours, happy to oblige please have the $xx in cash to pay on collection.

(if they ask for a discount just say no, sorry)

or you just say

Sorry, I dont offer a pick up service.

do not accept paypal payment for a pickup. there is no buyer or seller protection available on pick up items.

Why has putting Free Postage saved you $10?

The postage cost should be added to the listed price as it still has to be paid when you post it.

But if you are not happy with pick up just advise that Pick up is not an option and you will only post items after payment is received.
