Apparently we are now expected to provide a tracking number with every sale. For domestic post no problem, but for International sales it's not feasible.
I sell my excess postage stamps, and have a few regulars overseas. Mostly cheap items, as anything expensive I add the trackable postage costs.
The point is from Australia there are 2 ways via Australia Post.
1...Registered Mail...Cost approx $20 plus Ebays fees taken out of the Post cost as well.....so almost $24 and only trackable to the Australian border.
2...Express International......Cost approx $34 plus Ebays fees.....so almost $40......the only fully trackable way according to Australia post.
Who is going to pay that sort of money for trackable post on a $20 to $50 item?
If this is the new rules,I won't be selling anything offshore and I'm sure 1000's of other won't too.
I am happy to refund a buyer if the item doesn't arrive and always have been, but it seems to me like this is a stupid requirement of people selling low cost items.
Happy to be corrected if I'm missing the point.
