Every month for the past 3 months, on this ID I’ve been offered 100 free listings. Today on our main selling account we have been offered 5000 free listings.
Has the penny finally dropped? Has eBay finally come to the realization that the only product it has to sell is advertising space and no matter how much space they have, it doesn’t generate revenue unless sellers actually use it to list items for sale, and for years now sellers have been voting with their feet and so have buyers.
But somehow I think it’s all too little too late.

DO you have to have a store to get these "free" listings?

The 5000 free listings
Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.
This is what shows in big red writing if you did not get the email but try and accept the offer.
Not like the 100 free listings that anyone could click the link on and get them 😞

Guess so as it is for GTC listings which are only an option to store holders.
Good 'Til Cancelled Listings

I am not sure it is only for GTC's?
I've just listed a heap as auctions and BIN and all fees came up as $0
plus how do you have a GTC on a 10 day auction anyway? Doesn't it expire after 10 days?
I read it as they were encouraging GTC, but it wasn't mandatory - so maybe the GTC rule does apply to listings that roll over, but others are still OK too?

It definitely is for all the types of listings - auctions and buy-it-nows including GTC.

Thank you so much for clarifying that PJ - Spun me out a bit as I thought I was going to get a gazillion fees for auctions and BIN's.

Is that still available?

kustom that offer was for last weekend. But they have been doing them very regularly.
Double check your communication settings in account communication area - make sure you have said yes to receiving promotion material from ebay if you want to get the invites.
On one of my other selling ids I have missed out on promotions as I did not have this turned on.
Make sure too, that your main contact email for your account is one that you check regularly - as it is sent to the one the account is registered to, not the one (which may be different) that you select to have buyer questions and sale advice sent to.

Finally after months and months selling on eBay, I received a free listing on this account...
