The most obvious question....have you registered as a seller?

have you registeredwith eBay as a Seller?
have you given eBay your c/card details to deduct the monthly Sellers fees from?
have you upgraded your Paypal account to Premier or Business?
all of the above need to be completed to begin selling

I would strongly advise you to use a computer to set up your selling account and also for your first few listings. I believe the ebay app is a bit of a nightmare with all options etc not showing although I think it works better if you choose to use the classic site instead of the app.
There are many threads on here about problems with both listing and bidding using phones and from the lack of information in almost every listing you see where it says a mobile was used I think it must be a lot harder to do a decent listing.

Listing from an i-phone is very simple and straightforward, IMO much simpler than listing from website, and much quicker.
As with all ebay listings, providing honest, complete details in your descriptions greatly assists buyers in their decisions to purchase.
There are no more problems with mobile phone aps than there is with the regular ebay site, it is just that they are new and different problems.
Setting up of your selling account should be done from the full website version of ebay, not the ap. As pointed out in post 2 there is additional information that must be provided to ebay before you can start listing and selling items.
