On your home page scroll down to all selling, click on that and it will show how many or if you have any free listings.
There will be a restriction for new sellers on how many listings you can have.

The free listings are only free to list an item.
If it sells you still pay the Final Value fee.
Also if you use extras such as subtitles, they have a charge.
Fees - http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/fees.html
But as already stated new sellers have listing limits.

Also if OP tried to sell then it must have been on a different account as the one they posted on has no reference that they even tried to list?

You're in Cyprus, which eBay site did you register your account? You are on the Australian forums. Go to the site where you created your account and check the help pages or site map to see if you get free listings and how many. It varies over different sites, so you'd need to check where you created your account.
