Hi There,
Like most seller I guess, I had to go and fix all my listings to meet ebays active content rules.
I fixed all of my listings and confirmed with the ebays active content checker and the isdntek active content checker that I no longer had any listings that did not comply.
I have been watching my sales drop over the past month or so and had been wondering why. Then I recently realised that most of my listings are not displaying the description any more, nearly all of them are displaying the "see full description" button.
I rang ebay and they tried to tell me that my listings were displaying correctly but so far I have contacted half a dozen family members and asked them to look and they also don`t see the listings, only the "see full description" button.
I was wondering if some people would be kind enough to look at some of my listings and tell me or send screenshots of what you see so that I can be sure before ringing ebay again.
Here are 3 listings

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot
Kevin.

Thanks a lot for the link.
So I assume if that information is correct it must be an ebay side malware issue because otherwise I`d be the only one seeing the problem if I had malware which was causing me to not see my description.
I hope ebay can fix it soon if that is the case.
Thanks again.

I can only see the button, not the full descritption.
It is a bit annoying to have to click on an extra step to get to the description.

Thank you very much for replying, I appreciate it.
Yes it certainly is annoying, but I also think many buyers may not even see this button and just assume that I am a dodgy seller with no listing description and leave. I definitely do not buy from anyone who has not made an effort to clearly describe their products.
I found some information from ebay which states that what I am seeing is a penalty that will be given to sellers whose listings are hosted with non-https images or links. But I do not fall into this category, and it isn`t meant to start till March next year anyway so I really can`t understand why this is happening to me. And if ebay support just tells me that they are seeing the listing display correctly it is very hard to get a resolution.

The button is among clutter, so is not that easy to see. Can't see your description without first clicking on the button.
A bit similar to what you see on a cell phone.
good luck.

Just wanted to post an update because I have found the cause of this issue and thought it might be useful to others to know.
Firstly, a big thanks to those who replied, I am very grateful for your help.
In a lucky coincidence I stumbled across the solution when I installed chrome browser on a virtual machine. When I logged into chrome for the first time on this machine my bookmarks and extensions were imported also. The bookmarks were first to import so I immediately logged into ebay and was surprised to see that I could see my listings properly. But a minute or two later my extensions imported and at the same time I stopped being able to see my descriptions again.
So I made all of my extensions inactive, which made the descriptions visible again, and then turned them on one at a time and viewed my listings after each one.
For me it turns out that an extension called HTTPS EVERYWHERE was the cause of this issue for me. When I make it active I am unable to see my listing descriptions, and when I remove it I can see them again.
I think this must be a pretty popular extension so I am guessing that eveyone who has it is unable to see my listings, and probably other peoples listings too. I don`t really know but I guess I should inform ebay in case this is the situation, they may want to try to find a solution if it is affecting others.
Thanks again for reading, I will mark this thread as solved.
All the best.
Kevin.

Nothing at all in this one, except a full stop.
