Hi I have just sold an item and sent the invoice but realised the buyer is in another state so I need to add postage cost to his invoice and also to update my record incase he pays with paypal I need to get the amount right. If anyone can advise me I would appreciate it.

Someone who knows more about this may be along in a minute, but, as a buyer myself, once i receive the invoice, that is ALL i am oblidged to pay. Personnally, as a buyer i would simply refuse to accept the excuse that you only just noticed the address. Sorry it may not be what you want to hear but look at it from your buyers point of view, it may appear you are trying fleece them out of more money.

when you list the item the postage should be there, doesnt matter if the buyer comes from the back of bourke it should be there and if they pay with paypal you have to pay the fees not the buyer

Was it one of the pick-up only items? (In which case postage wasn't specified in the original listing, but may have been quoted before the buyer purchased).
You can update the postage by sending a new invoice if they haven't paid yet - what I would personally do would depend on whether I gave them a specific quote before invoicing to the address it's actually going to. If not, I'd wear the error myself, but if I gave a quote for X amount I would apologise for the error and issue a new invoice.
