How can 1 buyer ruin me on ebay?

just opened my store and received top rated seller and power seller this month, next month i will loose TRS and maybe PS?

the story is - buyer had bought stamps from me and left positive feedback. week or so latter asked about my combined postage rates. i replied basic post is $2 but for multies it is still $2 but i may charge an extra $1 for the extra packaging - he bought 6 lots of stamps and was charged $3

he left me 6 x low stars for postage costs.

rang ebay, at first all they wanted to know was what computer program i was using to know who had left them. Duh - had 8 buyers in those 4 days with one buying 6 - do the math.

anyway girl was very helpful for some time and then arranged for a "team leader" to ring me. again very helpful she told me i was a perfect seller according to my feedback etc, etc.

she kept me updated as she tried to ring buyer and eventually had to email the buyer asking him if he would agree to having feedback removed.

message today he declined, nothing ebay can do.

how can this be if in the message he only paid for 1 lot of postage and yet can leave me 6 low postage?

is there no common sense in ebay?

rang ebay before and the team leader will be ringing me in the morning.

any advise please or do i have to loose before i start?

Why mr.glow, because the buyer can leave feedback on every transaction made, 6 buys = 6 feedbacks. Simple maths.

SOME people are greedy & selfish, they only think of themselves when it comes to buying, you could quote some of them FREE postage & they'd still think it was tooooo dear !!!

I agree with you that this buyer has been unfair, he expects you to do everything for free & throw the packaging in for free also.

 I can believe that ebay won't help you also, but don't worry too much about the PS & TRS, they are more control mechanisms than anything else [most of us were given the Power Seller thingy & didn't even want it !!!]   at the end of the day buyers Search using specific terms/words, just make sure you put all the info you can in your title area.

Simple math is had he paid for the 6 items separately his postage & handling would have been $12.00, but the bargain price of $3.00 wasn't cheap enough for him obviously.  Yet another SCROOGE out there.

happily, most sellers will be able to figure out who the buyer was and will put buyer block in place

sadly for the OP, not much you can do except put your own buyer block in place so he can never buy from you again

on the 20th of next month look again, my seller dashboard is telling me i loose TRS on the next evaluation

it's a date!   but if you get great stars from now till then, won't it balance out and you will be TRS again?

mrglow I just had a peek at your sold items....the bulk lot of used covers you received $14.00 for should have had Advertising Covers in the title don't you think.  I'm sure that would have attracted a more diverse number of collectors.

This is what I mean about your TITLE description.......buyers search using specific terms [also fill in Item Specifics on your listing as ebay use these to match up to searches as well].

This is why the DSR & PS are so unimportant.
