Greetings,
Is it possible to set a handling time of 1 or 2 days depending on the items I sell?
Sometimes it is not possible to have a courier pick up the same day or I need to get items from a secondary warehouse.
I cannot find any area to define this period and keep getting "delivery overdue" messages from Ebay....
Any and all thoughts / enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Darren

Yes, exactly right.
Hence my looking into the handling time.
I had 2 payments made last night between 10 & 11 PM, by breakfast time this morning I was already a day late with my shipping....
How do you counter (protect yourself) against something like that...
Anyways, thanks for clarifying which part of trouble you were referring to.
I might have to rephrase my question a bit better and try again as using a fixed postage price is not an option for me.
Cheers

When you say "trouble", what do you mean ? do you anticipate that I would lose sales because of this time period ?
In your opening post you said:-
"........and keep getting "delivery overdue" messages from Ebay...."
That's where your trouble will stem from, if you get too many of those warnings eBay will restrict your selling account.

Stretch your handling time to 4+ days I do and most of the time I post within 2 days anyway but at least I'm ahead by those 2 days
so my items arrive most of the time before the due date.

The OP has explained that choosing the freight option means that the option for handling time disappears.

The only other thing I can suggest is to make your cut off time very early - like 6am
So that if they buy at 7am you have until 6am the next day before ebay starts counting,
From the site preferences page.

OK I understand now, well then OP doesn't need to worry about any late delivery defects as freight comes under varied times.
So OP might need to place in the description of the listings -handling time 1-2 days and hopefully the customers read it.
So my first post is basically mute lol.

If the listing does not state a delivery date then will ebay give a defect for a date that does not exist. What does your late shipment report say.

Ebay shouldn't give a defect for freight deliveries and I think that OP doesn't have any otherwise they wouldn't be selling anymore you'd think?
And because it's freight delivery then OP isn't able to state the handling time in which they wish to do.
All you can do OP is perhaps put it in the description?

I gathered it may only show buyer stated late delivery and not tracking. I get 2 or 3 a month from tracking showing late delivery but then some of the countries I post to like Spain don,t help.
