How do I apply a DISCOUNT at the time of sale when free postage is offered. This is GOOD business practice. Not handback a partial refund when the sale is completed, which is BAD business practice. Buyers like to see discounts applied at the time of sale.

You can't. Either send a partial refund or offer a bonus item for multiple purchases or setup listings with multiple quantities at lower unit prices.

As ebay charge their fee on the total item payment they do not allow you to discount by more than the postage price. I just state on my store page that I am unable to offer a combined postage discount for items with free delivery. You are in the same position as every other seller who offers free delivery so it is not going to disadvantage you and if there was a way to offer a discount on free post items (other than setting up rules etc) then many other sellers would do the same as you so again you would not be gaining any advantage.

Hello,
You can find a pilot program called the Sales Maximizer, at the following url:
http://ebaybusinessbuilder.com/sm
This tool allows you to increase your order size, lower shipping costs and grow profit margins.
Thanks for listing on ebay!

Is this now available to be used on ebay AU?
Last time I checked it could only be used for listings on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk.

Do you actually anticipate an answer?
Given everything on the boards defaults to .com, NOT .com.au?

Do you actually anticipate an answer? No 🙂
But it's nice to see a 'blue' posting here. Maybe they were lost and didn't realise they were even on the AU boards.

I'm sure cats and d*g would be interested to know if it works on AU. I've closed and ended all listings on this ID so I can't give it a try.
