Hi guys.

I am the seller of an item and upon an agreed sale, i posted the item. Since then the buyer indicated the item was cancelled so could not pay for it. How do now invoice through ebay to the buyer so i can get paid?

You posted an item before you were paid for it?

I can't help you with the invoicing part & I wish you luck in the shape of an honest buyer, but my advice, for what it is worth, would be to never, ever send anything till it is paid for.

And what do you mean by agreed sale? Do you mean they bought on ebay? I hope it wasn't a private arrangement via messages.

Sellers should only post after the buyer has paid, even if they don't get the money immediately if they are on Managed Payments. After a sale, the buyer must pay, the seller is notified, sends the item and receives the money from eBay (when depends on whether they are regular or new/irregular sellers).

Why did you post before the buyer paid? Thankfully, it's not a lot of money, because regardless of what you do, it's unlikely the buyer will pay now. Why would they? They're getting a free item! You might have an honest buyer, but I doubt it.

In future, DO NOT post until you have been paid. Ebay will tell you that the buyer has paid and you should now send the item. At the moment, your funds will be on hold for 30 days, but you've still been paid. Until you get that message, do not send!
