I pay immediately if I buy a BIN item and not planning on buying anything else from that seller. If I am bidding on auctions, I don't pay until I'm done buying. I usually let the seller know that I am still buying after I win the first item.

Dunno about that CQ.
I made an offer on an item late one afternoon which was accepted. It was supposedly in suburban Sydney but the listing had all the hallmarks of a Chinese seller. I paid and settled back to wait for the item to arrive from China.
I was more than pleasantly surprised when it arrived at 6.30am the next morning with my AP contractor.
Needless to say the seller has a loyal repeat buyer.

I'm not far from the mail centre and have had a few items dropped off before 7am.....or if sig required, a card left in the door to collect from the PO or courier company later that day.
I think my quickest transaction was, auction finished at 2.30pm, noticed the seller appeared to be in the same area (just said Central West NSW, as opposed to a town name), sent him a message to verify exact location and asked if he was local could I pick up. I picked up at 4.30pm. Turns out he was literally around the corner. He was about 8 houses away from me. Took me 5 minutes to walk there! The chat on the front door step lasted longer than what it took me to walk there and walk home again.
