How to become an ebay seller?

Dear Friends !!!From Past three months I am going round and round and round  in circles and unable to find answer to following questions .

I will extremely appreciate if I can get even just a hint.

1)I have always been a buyer on ebay have hardly 6 or 7 feedback how do i attract people if I want to start selling ?

2)where do i get a product from

a) if i go to Alibaba etc and try to find a product,  these are being sold on the same price as ebay or sometimes expensive if get this product and then add my profit and postage it becomes so expensive i wouldnt be able to sell (still dont know how the import tax apply they might increase the price a bit more )

b)if i try to source item from local market where kmart ? coles ? safeway ? where are there any wholesale suppliers in australia as well ?

3)Is it a close business , can new people really selling on ebay if they are from Australia ?just cannot find anything

1  If you are selling what people are wanting selling is easy.

2 You get your products from a wholesaler, ebay, second hand shops anywhere you like.

3 All sellers have had 0 feedback as a seller when they first start and if you do the right thing by the buyers then you will not have any problems.

Always describe your items accurately

Put measurements in if needed ie clothing should have measurements.

There is thousands of Australian sellers on Australia ebay and many are very successful.

Do not over charge on postage. Only charge the actual cost + packaging.

Never start an auction less than you would be happy to sell an item for or list with buy now or buy now with best offer

It is really up too you to research and work out what is best for you.

Sorry but no one here is going to give you that info and put you in competition against them.

You will have to do all that yourself by researching as other sellers have had too do.

I do not buy from wholesalers I get my items from ebay, markets, garage sales, Ali express etc.

ok thnx ... when you buy from ali express .. are there any import duties applied how does it work ?

There is import duties on deliveries of $1,000 +

Again Google and research the info it is all there.

If you do not know the answers by research why do you want to become a seller?
There are many resources available by google to answer your questions.
Why do you ask your future competitors for answers?
Do you want them to buy the goods for you, wrap them and post them off as well ?
Ebay used to be a good place to sell some stuff and make some money, butt now with fees, charges , rule changes and other online places it is a lot of hard work for not much return.
