How to get someone to leave feedback, so I then get paid.

Hello everyone. 

How is the best way to get someone to leave me feedback. I am an honest ebayer and have been ebaying for over 19 years. My last item that I listed, I have been informed by ebay, that they will not release the hold of my payment until, the buyer has received my item and also left positive feedback. I have asked the buyer on numerous occassions from the day that I posted it, including even again today, to get him to leave feedback, and he wont. I have asked ebay, to intervene and request him to leave feedback, and they wont. So, not only now, I am out of pocket for the item, but also for the postage, insurance, and packaging. This is immensely unfair. I have spent over 2 hours with ebay trying to resolve with no help. I will never sell using ebay again. There no longer is seller protection.

It has been received. The seller agrees that he has the item. And eBay will not release funds until they see positive feedback. I have given up speaking to eBay. They look like stealing my money from me. I can not find it in writing anywhere amongst their policies, that they are allowed to hold until funds UNTIL POSITIVE feedback is received.

Are we are we not to believe eBay. I am on the managed payments system. I have provided them sometime ago last year with all of those security and payment measures. Ebay are ripping me off. And I have read all ebay policies, and can not find anything like what they are telling me.. I have in writing what they told me, as I have the transcripts. I am out of pocket, because they have my money, and I have spent money on postage and packaging.

FGS they're not stealing your money, they just have it on hold. As I said before try a supervisor in a day or so, otherwise you may have to wait for a while to get it released.

eBay may well be waiting to see that no neg or neutral appears from the customer, if there's a problem with the transaction. The customer may not have had a chance to try the device out yet.

When was the item delivered? Did you upload tracking or did you just give the tracking number to the buyer in a PM?

When funds become available for payout

Here are the time frames when your funds will become available for payout:

• 7 days after the estimated delivery date, or
• 1 day after confirmed delivery
• If no tracking is used, we'll do a check for positive Feedback after 3 days (to allow sufficient time for the item to be delivered). If positive Feedback has been received, you should get the funds within 24 hours. Note: This check is only carried out if no tracking is uploaded. Best practice is to upload tracking so you can receive the funds 1 day after confirmed delivery

Padi*0409, anyone would think that you worked for eBay. You are not listening to me. I have it in writing from transcripts that they will not release the funds until Positive Feedback is left to me. I have spoken to so called supervisors on the phone, but as it is over the phone, I have NO verification as to who I am talking to. It could be the cleaner, or morning tea girl for all I know.  But the people on the phone, of which I have spoken to 2 people say exactly the same thing. I have never had this happen to me in the past, and it will Never Ever happen to me again, as I will never use ebay again  for selling.

That should be all eBay need - proof of delivery - and as no case has been opened - well yet - but here's hoping not - all good.

Yes I did use tracking and it was uploaded to ebay, and Ebay are showing it as being delivered. But, they still say that they will not pay until Positive Feedback is received for the item.  I have done everything right. I had previously seen the policy that you have clearly pointed out. Ebay have no intentions in abiding by that policy.

You have been answered! The people have listened to your rantings  and have answered your ramblings! 

BUT… YOU ARE NOT LISTENING!!!!!!!!!

feedback (AND I DONT CARE WHAT THE CLEANER/ TEA LADY DONE TOLD YOU) is not mandatory, THEREFORE: has absolutely NOTHING to do with getting paid.  It’s NOT a requirement!   Grrrr. 

The 30 days is set because of the 30 day MBG.  Your buyer has a 30 day MBG protection from the sale (but with 19yrs experience and having read every eBay policy known to man, YOU MUST HAVE JOINED THESE DOTS SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE!!!!) …. So…. Therefore, you will get pd , at the latest, in 30 days. 

ergh…… that was exhausting! 

I guess I’ll get notification on this one, but it will be worth it! 😑

So janeababe, when I dont get paid, and I contact ebay again, I suppose I just say "Well janeababe said that I will get paid".     Hahahahaha. You obviously are someone of authority. Maybe I should have just phoned you instead of ebay. Well I have listened to everyone. Now I dont know who to believe, the sellers on this caht forum that are not paid by ebay, or the ebay staff, who are paid by ebay. As I say, I have it in writing from ebay, that I WILL NOT GET PAID UNLESS POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS LEFT.   How much clearer does this need to be. Anyhow, my question was asking as to how to get a person to leave feedback. I am so sorry if I  have wasted everyone's time.
