Hi everyone,
I know someone has asked a similar question here but its aswers still do not solve my confusion.
So I got a Auspost Registerd Label. There is a big part that says OFFICIAL USE and a small part that says SENDER TO KEEP. My understanding is that the big one is to be put on the letter and the small part is to be kept by me.
However, inside the big part there is a dettachable part which contains the same bar code. Can anyone please tell me what to do with the small sticker inside the big "OFFICIAL USE" one.
Thanks

Australia Post use that bit at their end*, so you need to keep the larger orange sticker in tact when affixing it to the letter.
Or, at least they used to - those are actually the old version of the labels, and the new ones have a QR code rather than a barcode. I think in times past the small part of the barcode would be peeled off and attached to a record, eg manual signing. They might also be removed at point of delivery still, for some other reason.
