The buyer can do it themselves.

Send them this link.

or for your use

Here's what we found for "cancelling a bid" [ Previouspage ]
You generally shouldn't cancel bids on your listings, but there are a few reasons for doing so:
  • A bidder backs out of the bid.
  • You can't verify the bidder's identity after trying all reasonable means of contact.
  • You end your listing early.
Bids can't be reinstated after they've been cancelled.

To cancel a bid:
  1. Go to the Canceling bids placed on your listing page.
  2. Enter the item number, the user ID of the bid you're canceling, and the reason you're canceling the bid.
  3. Click the cancel bid button.

Yeah we have had this same request before and I always send them back this link and ask them to do it themselves.

Usually they don't do it (lazy I guess!) and when/if their bid wins they often pay as normal. Sometimes ends up in a UIC.

So why would I cancel what can potentially turn into a sale.
