I have a bidder that wants to retract her bid, but is having trouble of retracting that bid.

A buyer that I have at the moment, no longer wants the item that she has bidded on. So cause she is having trouble retracting that bid, she said that the auction can run it's course and she won't be paying for it, but I'm out of pocket with fees. ( THAT's BULL**bleep**). So can someone please help out. As I don't want to be out of pocket for someone stupid behaviour.

you, as the seller can cancel her bid and then make sure you put her name on your Block Bidder List so she doesnt bid with you again.

all information on Selling / bid Retractions and Blocking Bidders is on the ebay Site Map (a link at the bottom of all eBay pages)

goodluck

I have a bidder that wants to retract her bid, but is having trouble of retracting that bid.

Personally I would just let the auction run to completion as is.

Someone else may even outbid her anyway. If so, then no problems all round.

But if she wins the auction and does not pay then just raise a UID after the 4-days.

Then if she still fails to pay a strike will be put on her account after another 4-days.

Just move on and relist the item then.

Just make sure you have your buyer strike settings in place to block habitual non-paying bidders.

And also put her on your blocked buyer list for good measure.

This way you will get your FVF back, but you still pay the insertion fee (if any) regardless.

Hey, fishingdog, I think Clarry has the best idea, let the auction run its course.

It isn't your worry if the buyer can or cannot cancel a bid and quite frankly, having their bid on your item might tempt someone else to bid. As clarry says, if that happens, all is well.

And if it doesn't happen, sure, you have the hassle of a non paying bidder but you can put in the dispute and cause them to get a strike against their name. That's a good thing too. Way to go!!
