I need help working out fees on a sale, please.

Actually I don't need help to do it, I need someone to do it for me.

I have never bothered working out fees on sales so have no idea what they are and how they are applied, so I will give a short run-down.

Item is iPad 2 sells for $400 free postage and paid via Paypal.

(one of the 30 free listings).

(I am not worried about the cost of actually posting the item just the fees payable to eBay and Paypal.)

BTW would you sell such an item for a friend who doesn't have any feedback as a seller, I trust my friend and can't foresee any problems with selling the item?

Ebay FVF is          7.9% of 400 is $31.60

PayPal fee is         2.4% of 400 is $9.60 + 0.30 cent.

Total  $41.50

Second part to the question, electronics can be tricky as things can go wrong with the item, or maybe your friend doesn't know of a small function not working on it.

I would think better for them build up their feedback as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

thank you, they were offered about $300 from a pawn broker which they would be better off taking after the cost of registered, insured postage is added on to the fees, and no worries for me about hidden faults in their iPad.
