Do the holidays bring bigger sales or is it dead

Haven't been selling on ebay through this period so am keen to hear from those who have

Hi Neil, I find post Xmas - late Jan the best time of the year to buy as so many people are on holidays. Less buyers = low $$$.  But that is for second hand and collectables.

I subscribed to Terapeak for a while and was able to see when items sell the most.  It seems that post-Christmas and January sales go down across the board (regardless of what the item is), perhaps it is because of holidays, perhaps because of stock take sales in retail centres or perhaps because people are broke from spending so much before Christmas!!

Like the previous post, probably a buyer's market but not so lucrative for sellers.

I have usually done rather well over and after Christmas, the slow down seems to come late January, early  Feb which is probably when people are getting their credit card bills and realising just how much they have overspent 😉
