I accept paypal as payment but buyer must pay all fees which will be calculated in checkout, otherwise i accept bank deposit/ transfer.
Just checking out a listing for a limar helmet and saw this,Never come across that before
and was wondering if you can do that?
Seems to me it would be easier to throw a few extra dollars on the starting price..

No one is allowed to do that and the seller can be reported.

Generally No
If the listing was created on ebay.com.au then you cannot charge a surcharge for the use of paypal ie by charging the buyer the fees on top of the total cost it is considered a surcharge.
I believe that on some ebay sites however you can stipulate that the buyer pays the paypal fees... Germany I think is an example???
So it depends on what site the item is originally listed as to the legality/ability of the seller to use the phrase.

The seller DOES NOT offer Paypal as a payment option.
Therefore any Paypal payment will be made outside of ebay checkout.
German sellers CAN surcharge for Paypal.
See section 4.5 of the German Paypal UA.
Since the buyer wants to pay by a method that is not part of the listing and they want the seller to accept their payment, they might want to pay the surcharge.

I reported a seller at least a week ago for having in the listing that buyer was to pay the paypal fees and I see the listing is still there unchanged. Anyone know why. Have I missed something perhaps.

Some listings can have many blatent policy breaches and, regardless of how many people report them, they just stay and stay. Others can be very borderline and get pulled in minutes.

The listing is for a very expensive piece of jewellery, Kazbar. Over a grand, so maybe Ebay didn't pull it because the paypal fee I imagine would be quite juicy.

Very true, as I've found from experience ๐
Yes, I have an opinion. No you don't have to agree with it. Yes I do have a right to it.
