Buyers don't pay fees to use Paypal, the seller always pays the fee which is the same regardless of how the payment is funded. In Australia the fee is 30c + 24% of the payment.
It is actually against both ebay and Paypal's terms and conditions to ask the buyer to pay for the fees, you should build enough to cover all except postage costs into the start or BIN price when you list.

PJ your fingers are running amok....that should be 2.4% of the payment to paypal + 30cents. The sellers would all go broke if they had to pay 24%.

That is the cost you pay, OP, by using Paypal. I'd guess if you used another safe method (Paymate or Merchant Credit Card) you'd pay as much.
And have far fewer sales.

I heard (a long time ago) that paymate actually charged more then paypal but whether that's changed or not I don't know.
