Lots of questions for experienced sellers please!

Much Thanks to all whom reply! I've some questions about ebay selling.

First is how could a USA buyer purchase a book of sheet music from me? I have buyer blocks in place. Only 1 item available to OS & not that item. I asked this question of live help, they couldn't help. I was allowed to add USA post to a freepost within Aust only item, but am concerned that the buyer hasn't responded at all to my most polite message saying I don't post OS, but will do so in this instance. Has paid by Paypal, item posted. I posted as cheaply as possible, which I'm hoping will not be to my disadvantage. I do have a postal lodgement number from Austpost.

Also with Freepost... Will that make my 4.9 stars on post price into a 5 eventually? Most of my sheet music is freepost (well, post included in price, as we all know)

I always describe my items perfectly well; & have been successfully selling elsewhere on QS for some years, but am having troubles adapting to ebay & all the selling nuances needed for this much larger site. Any kind help greatly appreciated.

I do have a "Me" page. The inclusion of this was prompted by an ebay message telling me I was up for inclusion in preferred seller programme. At the time I had 50 feedback, so was wary about it all!

At the bottom of every ebay page is the site map-makes for useful reading & help.

You need to select the locations you don't post to then exclude them, misspicky. It is a 2 stage process.

Yes, if you're prepared to wear the extra FVF by offering 'free' postage, eventually your postage cost star will be 5. In 12 months from the last non 5. For a real 5. I believe 4.96 gives the same result.

4.9 is perfectly acceptable and you really cannot expect blanket 5s forever. You have 2 which is 2 more than most sellers. 4.9 will not adversely affect your standing.

How's mum?

First make sure no international postage option is selected, if you cannot see international input area click on customise (or whatever) and tick the box to display international postage, double check that they all say select a service. Go back to the link again and untick the box that says show international.

Go into your buyer blocks and tick the box to block any buyer with a primary delivery address you do not post to.

this should prevent anyone who doesn't have an Australian delivery address selected as their primary delivery address from bidding.

Thank You to all who have replied! Sorry for my late Thanks; I couldn't access this area & now all seems to have changed.

I still can't find how to block International customers, but have removed the only item I had available Internationally. Hopefully this will help?

I do have "block buyers from countries I don't post to" activated - but can't seem to find that list -  & also non payer strikes of 2 within 6 months & such. As an interest; I found that those blocks had worked for a Nigerian & 4 people with too many non payment strikes when I found a log whilst trying to navigate my own selling preferences & not finding what I was looking for.

Davewil - Thanks for asking about Mum. She's OK, Not great. If you know Mum; I am M.
