I've just finished packing up after my first tourist market trading day of the year and now ready to hook up the caravan and hit the road for a 55km run to do it all again tomorrow before heading home again for another market on Wednesday.
Do it all again every week from now on until Chirstmas when season ends.
Had a great trading day today with just over $2,480 in takings for the day, so I'm happy as a pig in muck lol.
Hey dilly de dee, the market selling life for me lol.
Have yourselves a great weekend all.

It's not only tourists living in Qld and it's not raining or flooding everywhere either, in fact some ares are having their driest wet season for a decade this year.
If I sat on my bum and worked markets pacifly as other market traders do I'd be lucky if my takings were a quarter of what they are but I'm a 'Spruker' and work the crowds.
You may have seen someone like me at sometime where we give something away for free and using the 'Wait, there's more' patter lol
It's hard work but I enjoy putting on the show and all the effort pays off.
Given another 6-8 weeks when the tourist really start pouring through my takings will double to triple.
The only upsetting thing for me over the entire weekend was the fact that I only caught one 83cm bara on Saturday night lol.

It's called 'Having the gift of the gab' lol.
It's the old fashioned way of doing things, 'face to face' and something you can't use when you're selling via the internet.
You'd find a lot more sprukers/cosamongers like me around markets years ago but most people don't want to put all the extra effort into selling these days, but that works in my favour because the punters still like to see a good show being put on and when I start chucking freebies about they flock to see what it's all about then before they know it they're handing up their cash like it's waste paper too lol.
