Mandatory negative feedback for non-paying buyers

Hi,

Rant commencing.

I am so incredibly sick of buyers who don't pay and don't communicate in any way and don't respond to any attempts to help them or get answers.

Does anyone else think eBay needs to revisit their stance on no negative feedback on buyers?

The whole 'they get a strike on their file' thing is inadequate - especially when you can't just see it there when you look into them, you have to dig for it.

And setting bidder restrictions based on feedback scores limits those that are new to eBay or been harshly dealt with by overzealous sellers.

Surely eBay, who monitors EVERYTHING that goes through this site/app, can see when a buyer makes no attempt to communicate or complete a sale, and assign a generic 'Buyer did not complete sale' feedback, subtracting one from their feedback score?

It's wrong that their scores don't get any penalty, when they can give negative feedback for the most ridiculous things.

It's time that some support and power came back to the sellers!

Rant over.

Mandatory negative feedback for non-paying buyers

Negative feedback doesn't stop a buyer from buying. They can hit the buy it now button whenever they like and it's too late then. Same as, they can bid on one of your auctions in the last 5 seconds. They could have a thousand negs, and it won't stop them buying.

Set your buyer requirement blocks to block bidders that have 2 or more non payment strikes in the last 12 months. Other option is, change all your listings to buy it now with immediate payment required. Majority of your auctions sold with only one bid, so I would seriously consider using the BIN option.
