I have not experienced an Easter selling weekend. I have been a buyer for many years, but a seller for only the last little while. Regards Easter - possible problems I foresee:
1. Buyers not taking into account the Pub Hols and allowing for longer postage times
2. eBay not taking into account the Pub Hols and allowing for longer postage times when advising ETA
3. Many buyer's going away and maybe forgetting purchases/bids etc - more NPB at the end of it
4. Sellers such as myself not being available 24/7 to respond to questions and thus annoying buyers
What would you do?

If you want a 4 day holiday, just go ahead and have it ๐

I've had a few Easters and always kept the shop open as normal, no issues. I think it's a really hard holiday not to be aware of and account for (from the buyer's perspective), even if you don't celebrate it, because Good Friday means even more things are closed than over Christmas.
I've never had any problems with buyers (no where is my item questions, or even low DSRs), but I do alter the message I send just to include a quick note about when the item will be posted and so forth. Especially if they buy say on Thursday afternoon, since it won't get posted until Tuesday, far better to give them some info ASAP than to rely on the auto-update emails, which won't happen until 4-5 days later.

I am looking forward to the Easter Break and have instigated a few sales and listed some new items...
I hope to get a few sales and when I do I will email them and let them know the postage delays...
