A buyer has purchased 2 items from me. He is dictating to me how he wants the items packed and posted to him.

If it isn't something unreasonable, it could be because the buyer has had a few things damaged in the post recently.
that could be it. I sometimes ask for a bit of bubble wrap (politely though), with a please, if I am worried about things.

Goodness me, he has only bought two Furby soft toys....how demanding can he be?
What does he want you to do?

Just go along with it, after all, he is paying for the postage (or should be). I'd agree, he has probably had a bad experience or two. If he requires an upgrade to postage, adjust the invoice to show that, and point out (politely) that he is paying for this but requires that at a slightly higher price for the service.
